I try Blaster Master: Blasting Again (USA) with Pi4 and the latest lr-pcsx-rearmed from source and it's working without issues.

Try to find the game from a different source and use the default settings of the emulator. Do you have issues with other games ?

@windg Yes I do, both games above. Could it be this emulator no longer works on the pi3? It's unlikely that it's an individual rom issue, considering that the Intellivision collection rom runs on Duck (though I'd rather get it running on here)

@SavedByZero said in lr-pcsx-rearmed roms go black after title:

-re-enabling the title logo, which was defaulted to off

This is known to cause issues - you should turn this option off.

I tested in RPi3B+ with RetroPie 4.8.5 and latest updates. I use the default settings of lr-pcsx-rearmed with scph5500.bin scph5501.bin scph5502.bin bios files . Blaster master is running without issues. Try to update RetroPie, if you haven't, and verify your bios hashes. If you have a spare sd card, test with a fresh install from the weekly images (i use the same) : https://files.retropie.org.uk/images/weekly/ .

@windg I just replaced the sd card and reinstalled/updated everything, that's when this emulator actually stopped working for me.

@SavedByZero Have you ever try to modify Retroarch settings and use the inside save function to save the changes? This can create issues.

@windg Don't think so -- all I've ever done is remap which controller is being used for which emulators, in their respective individual retroarch files. Which always works. At this point I'll see if there's some core I forgot to update with all of the other updates and wait for the fixes that seem to be rapidly coming to the source lately. My best guess is that the emulator works for some users but not others because of some minor bug.

@mitu Done -- sadly, no difference.

I'm wondering if this has something to do with it: ```
                      : [ERROR] [Environ]: GET_VARIABLE: pcsx_rearmed_async_cd - Invalid value.

You can try to change the psx cpu speed from 57(default) to 67.

While the game is running , open the RA quick menu > core options > system > psx cpu clock speed to 67.
After that create a save game option from Manage Core Options and restart the game.

You can try also to install lr-swanstation from RetroPie-Extra repo, but the performance maybe it is not good for some games, it's more power hungry than lr-pcsx-rearmed: https://github.com/Exarkuniv/RetroPie-Extra

This is probably caused by a change in the option values, you may try to changed it to 'Sync'/'Synchronized' (?) from the core options to get rid of the error. You can also reset the core option by opening retroarch-core-options.cfg from \\retropie\configs\all (file share) and removing any line starting with pcsx.
