With the help of a YouTube tutorial, I found out how I can play ROMs via a USB stick, but as soon as I remove the USB stick, the ROMs no longer start and when I restart the Raspberry Pi, the ROMs are still gone I plugged the USB stick back in and the ROMs worked again. I couldn't find anything about the problem on the internet and I also downloaded the "USB ROMs servies" (I think) and if I wanted to add games directly to the micro SD, it couldn't find the folder

I use a Raspberry pi zero 2w and a windows 11 laptop, please contact me quickly for help

Ps I speak German and use Google Translate

@Dr-Klein it is the difference between running roms from a USB drive vs. transferring roms using a USB drive.

When you run roms from the USB drive they remain on the drive, and are only accessible while it is attached.

You want to transfer the roms from the USB stick onto the SD storage. Name the folder retropie, instead of retropie-mount.
