Jagged Alliance 2 Stracciatella on Retropie?

Is there any chance that we might be seeing Jagged Alliance 2 Straciatella in Retropie at some point in the future? I have no idea if it's even feasible and unfortunately, I'm not a coder. But I discovered a French blogpost that seems to outline installing Jagged Alliance 2's engine on Raspi. That. Would. Be. So. Amazing!

If port supports compiling on arm and using SDL1.2 or SDL2 then certainly there might be a chance for making it work on Raspberry Pi, otherwise it could require additional libs or packages that might not be available in Raspbian repo.

Bumping because I'd kill to have some succesfully compile this program. I'm reasonably sure it CAN be done but I am missing a library or there's a problem with rust or cargo - I know little about those.

Please dear god someone help me play JA2 on my Pi. I've never wanted anything to work this bad since brutal doom (which i still play every single day!)

@ROMHackFanatic I just made an install script which can be placed in Retropie-Setups ports section.Alternatively there are AppImage binaries ready to use.

@misanthropos there is a script in RetroPie Extras already, but could be nice to have it already included in the main Repo

@ExarKunIv I did not know about your repository. Thank you for letting me know. You should update your script to 0.21.0. A lot has happened since 0.18.0.
