Emulator: MAMEI recently began updating my retropie build to a newer machine. Previously I was using the mame4all emulator but I know get an error that it doesn't work with x86-64. I have two questions.
-
Is there something I could do that would allow me to use this existing rom set?
-
What is the most reliable MAME emulator I could run and which rom set should I be getting?
I am not looking to get every rom from every country.

I figured it out.
Using the lr-mame2000 emulator worked. Turns out I had the 0.375b pack and I saw in the documentation that this optional emulator also worked

Mame4all/Mame2000 are really old versions of MAME, meant for (very) low powered deviced. On your PC system, you can use either FBNeo or current Mame without having any performance worries, thus taking advantage of game fixes and new additions to arcade emulation that were brought in by the last 24 years.

@retepam There is a section about choosing the correct arcade core for your needs in the libretro documentation, you should read it, mame4all/mame2000 is basically the worst choice you can make here.
