I have the latest version of lr-fbneo (updated from source this morning) and the proper FBNeo version of the mooncmw.zip game file, which works fine in the Windows version of FBNeo, but when I try to run it in the Retroarch version I get this:

Any ideas why, anyone? The ROM works fine in lr-mame2016 but I'd rather use FBNeo for the highscore support.

Raspberry Pi 3b and 8GB Raspberry Pi 4, both running Retropie 4.7.1 installed from scratch using Raspberry Pi Imager, with wired keyboard, wireless mouse and double arcade joystick attached.

which works fine in the Windows version of FBNeo

Not entirely sure which "windows version" you are talking about, but as far as i can tell this romset was broken (gfx issues + buffer overflow) in all current FBNeo builds, including the standalone ones for win32. Actually i believe you are the user from https://neo-source.com/index.php?topic=4083.0 ? The regression came from that bugfix.

I just commited a fix : https://github.com/finalburnneo/FBNeo/commit/44403095a88787d0a0b0e0f2895029661001eaf5 . It will also be available for the libretro port soon.

Confirmed that mooncmw works with the latest libretro build.
