      I'm runing Windows 10 with ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS reinstalled retro pie and when I try to run EmulationStation I get this error

      error: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set in the environment.
      Apr 15 22:46:02 lvl0: Error initializing SDL!
      No available video device
      Apr 15 22:46:02 lvl0: Renderer failed to initialize!
      Apr 15 22:46:02 lvl0: Window failed to initialize!

      I've looked on a few sites and tried a few fixes but don't quite understand or I'm doing something wrong please help

        This is not a supported cofiguration, but why do you want to install RetroPie on Linux on Windows, when you could install the emulators/front-ends directly on Windows ? There are similar projects similar to RetroPie, but for Windows - like RetroBat - that you can use.
