Change emulator settings for emulator that doesn't start anymore

Emulator does not start anymore likely do to settings I made. But I could not find a way to get into those settings without starting the Emulator. Is there a way to do that?

Maybe it does technically start but just close immediately, but I don't see how that changes the situation in this context.

So I don't really understand what additional information would be useful.

I want to know if I can access the emulator settings outside of a running game. Which no longer works presumably due to incompatible settings.

The menu I previously accessed by using hotkey/function + north Button (?) (Y on xbox360 controller) when inside the game running on the emulator.

But in the described situation that is not possible, so how can I change the settings I previously accessed that way?

I can only add speculation because I can't actually get there anymore. I think the sub menu was called "core settings" but this string is nowhere to be found in the docs. So back to square one.

Maybe you're referring to core options. Please provide the info asked - even if consider the information is not required, you'd be surprised of how much diagnostic knowledge is packed in the info asked.
