Reading roms from both boot sd card and usb flash drive
-
I am sorry if this has been answered, I did my best to find a answer and couldn't find one. I have a 256gb sd card I boot from that has roms and also a USB flash drive that has roms the issue is that when I boot with the USB drive in it only reads the roms from there and none of the ones on the SD card show up until I reboot and remove the usb drive I couldn't find anything in the documentation nor another forum post about it any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

How to replicate the problem: boot with usb drive containing roms -
How did you set-up the USB drive for ROMs ? If you're using the RetroPie's method of having the ROMs under
retropie-mount
, then this kind of configuration is not supported - you either use the SD card or the USB drive for ROMs.
If you wish to have different ROMs folders - some of them on SDcard and some of them on the USB drive - , then you need to devise your own mount strategy and modify the appropriate configuration files with the right commands (i.e. either/etc/fstab
or manual mount commands in theautostart.sh
file). -
