      Is there a work around to get splashscreens working. I am not able to install it via the retropie setup wizard.

      odroid XU4 running ubuntu-18.04.3-4.14-minimal-odroid-xu4-20190910.img

        The splashscreen module is available only for Pi SBCs, that's why it's not installable.

          @mitu So there is absolutely no way to get them to run on the odroid? does that go for the game preview videos inside of ES too?

            Given that now the splashscreen is using vlc instead of the (Pi specific) omxplayer video player, it could be possible to make it work with other boards, but right now it's not supported outside the Pi systems.
