      Dear Retropie users,

I am in dire need of help, and am a business owner so I have extremely limited Linux knowledge, and I wish I had more time to dive into it. My original bubble bobble PCB went bad, and I am working on using Retropie with the FB NEO Bubble Bobble V1 ROM as a replacement.

I was able to get things working so far in order to get the game to boot directly. I am using the FB NEO version of Bubble Bobble V1. HOWEVER.....

A few things that I need expert assistance on finishing/cleaning up, so this is exactly like the original in my arcade cabinet:

      A. I want to disable EVERY single hotkey in an easy, spelled out way, so that the only thing that can happen is to boot up and play the game. Every article I read assumes basic knowledge of linux. (what commands would I type, etc). No hotkeys, save states, load states, or any other states other than just playing the game. Basically I am just using two arcade Joysticks in a real arcade cabinet with two fire buttons, a player one and a player two, and a select button that adds coins.

      B. I would like to disable the splashscreen completely, so you do not see the words Retropie and the cupcake that is a joystick when the game loads initally.

Retroarch seems way over my head.

I can handle DOS, but I am struggling with the linux environment or how the commands work, unless someone can spell it out for me. I feel comfortable using sudo nano (editor) and then changing config files and adding the #, if someone can help. I do not even know how to change or list directories quite honestly.

I would really love over 100 kids in a afterschool environment to be able to continue to play Bubble Bobble, and enjoy it as I did in my youth. Any help, please assume you are talking to a 3rd grader with no knowledge, but can follow instructions!

I am very grateful to anyone that can assist me.

      Cheers,

      Matt

FBneo's license is non-commercial, so it's not suited for your arcade business. If you wish to replace your PCB with a software solution, I think current MAME versions are ok as far as licensing is concerned.

Due to this - and other emulators that have a non-commercial license - the RetroPie image itself has a non-commercial license and we don't offer support for your use case.
