Why is Pulseaudio no longer an option in Settings > Audio > Output?
-
In the most recent version of RetroArch is seems that pulse is no longer an option when I go to settings > audio > output
I can see that pulse is still installed correctly on my build but it seems to have been disabled from Retroarch?
Is there a way to get it back?

Which platfoms ? for non-X11 platforms (that means all RPIs models), PulseAudio has always been disabled.
Is there a way to get it back?
Modify the buld script and enable it if you wish.

Good to know! I have a version of RA that has it enabled and I'm not 100% sure where that might have come from (I just know that lr-dolphin is far more stable with that version of RA and pulseaudio) and I noticed in the last update I did the pulse option disappeared.
So I'm guessing that version of RA I have that I was using with lr-dolphin must have been created by modifying the build script like you mentioned. Thank you for the explanation.

I was able to update using the instructions you gave me (along with that other error I was having) and all seems to be working well now!
I have NO IDEA why lr-dolphin seems to be more stable using pulseaudio (any ideas?) but I feel I get emulator core crashes by far less often when using pulse than using any other sound driver.
