      Hello everyone,

      I’m looking for help to solve a problem with my Raspberry Pi 4.

      Until recently, I was using a Raspberry Pi 3 connected to a Telefunken Full HD TV, and both audio and video worked perfectly.
      Now I’ve switched to a Raspberry Pi 4, which has micro HDMI outputs, and I’m experiencing audio issues.

      I’m using a micro HDMI → HDMI cable, but when I connect it to the TV, no sound comes out.
      The operating system installed is Recalbox, and in the audio settings menu, there’s not even an option to select HDMI output.

      I also tried using a micro HDMI → female HDMI adapter with the old standard HDMI cable that worked with the Pi 3, but the result is the same: video works, audio doesn’t.

      Interestingly, if I connect the same Raspberry Pi 4 to a Samsung 4K TV, both audio and video work perfectly.

      I’ve tried editing the config.txt file on the microSD by adding these lines:

      hdmi_force_hotplug=1
      hdmi_drive=2
      hdmi_group=1

      …but it didn’t work: on the Telefunken I still can’t hear anything, and Recalbox doesn’t detect HDMI audio.

      Has anyone experienced the same problem or knows how to force HDMI audio on slightly older TVs?
      #tv #audio

      Thanks in advance!
