@mattrixk In another post you said your air remote/keyboard is similar to this one https://www.amazon.com/LYNEC-C120-Portable-Wireless-3-Gravity/dp/B00RMX9H7A/
Is that the actual brand of yours? I only ask because I had C120 and Pro versions working, but then they'd cut out responsiveness for Back and OK randomly. Wondering if you have that issue with yours at all. If not, do you know what make yours is and where you got it?

I have this little iClever IC-RF02 2.4G RF Mini Wireless Keyboard Mouse Touchpad and it works okay for when I need a keyboard or mouse while I'm sitting on my La-Z-Boy and works great in KODI.

Its probably not the best for play heavy keyboard usage games but I was able to play ScummVM Full Throttle with it. It slow typing but has a satisfying click with the keys pressed. Sometimes if I cuff my hands around the back of it, I'll have responsiveness issues but If I just move my hands back down a little bit it starts working fine again. It does have an amazing battery life and will run for like 6 month to 1 year on a single charge. It also has an on/off toggle switch on the top and it immanently pairs with the included USB dongle on my Raspberry Pi when I turn it on. Never had an issue there. Oh and it has a little spot next to the battery where you can snap in the USB dongle for traveling.

Hey @quantum-hero, sorry I didn't reply sooner, I just got back from holiday. I can't tell you the exact brand of mine, as it was just a cheap ebay purchase (maybe $10 or something? I don't really remember) a few years ago. I bought it just as a simple keyboard for my android media box. It was okay, but I didn't really use it much. It was useless for RetroPie as it doesn't have an ESC key.

Physically it works fine. I've never had a problem with the keys not working, but you kind of need to angle your body sideways while you type, so the end is pointed at the receiver, and make sure your hand doesn't cover the LED on the end.

@backstander: I personally hate the clicking noise you get on remotes these days. I'm trying to change the volume and all I hear is CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK. It's very annoying (especially if I don't want to rouse other members of the household). I want a keyboard remote with soft keys like a normal TV remote.

My ES themes: MetaPixel | Spare | Io | Indent

Yeah when watching a movie you don't want the clicky sounds. I just use my wireless Xbox 360 controller with custom mapping when using Kodi but I do have my clicky little wireless keyboard/touchpad beside me if I need to type something.

I also have an Xbox 360 Chatpad (which plugs into the bottom of the Xbox 360 controller) but I could only get it to work in RetroPie when plugged into the wired Xbox 360 controllers and it also has that same clicky sounds and it is missing a lot of important buttons I need (like the Esc button).
