help to recompile ati_remote kernel module ....

Hello everyone i started using retropie and installed kodi as well cause i plan to use both.... , in kodi my remote control keys works but only half the keys.... ,
after a lot of research i found out that i need to recompile the kernel module
ati_remote with a patch or version that works ( in openelec it works perfect) ,
anyone can point me on how to do this??? , is there a support forum for debian jessie ?, i guess this kind of stuff is more apropriate there ....
