      Hello,

      Retropie 4.0.5.

      Firstly sound is working on all other emulators apart from the C64 Vice.

      I've gone into the menu > sound settings and tried using flexible, adjusting and exact but still nothing. I've also tried changing the output driver from ALSA to dummy and SDL and still nothing.

      There are some other settings but I'm not sure what they do.

      Is this a known bug, I couldnt find anything on Github?

      Thanks

        Vice latest build has some issues when you mess with the configs via the GUI

              I just deleted the configs, booted without them and then I had manually tweaked them to my needs. No uninstall/install

                  MenuKeyLeft=276
                  MenuKeyRight=275
                  SDLStatusbar=1
                  SoundDeviceName="sdl"
                  SoundSampleRate=22050
                  SoundBufferSize=100
                  SoundFragmentSize=1
                  AspectRatio="1.000000"
                  SDLWindowWidth=1920
                  SDLWindowHeight=1080
                  VirtualDevices=1
                  VICIIVideoCache=1
                  VICIIFilter=0
                  SidEngine=0
                  SidModel=0
                  JoyDevice1=4
                  JoyDevice2=4
                  AutostartWarp=0
                  AutostartPrgMode=0
                  Drive8Type=1571
                  Acia1Base=56832

                  In the sdl-joymap-C64.vjm you can set your controls and map to emulator actions

                    Interesting I've opened my sdl-vicerc and replaced with yours and the sound is back but it's really bad, why would that be?

                    This is a Pi3

                      @g0nz0uk when my sound was crap i found it was not running at full speed. I forget where the option was but it was something i had to change from automatic. I think it was the refresh rate. I switched it to something like 2/5. I forget off hand but there was i believe 5 settings and it was the second one i had to set it to.

                        Since I have no RetroPie in front of me right now...

                        Activate the statistics. If the Frames are not 50, you have a problem. Delete configs again, edit them manually and start Vice (without messing with configurations via thw GUI)

                        Speed always has be to Automatic
