      Hi There
I'm new to the world of RetroPie but I'm loving it!!!
I recently installed the latest version of Kodi on my Raspberry Pi 3 but upon trying to install add ons I seem to get a coloured box in the top right of the screen and the Pi Cuts off and resets its self.
It seems that I could be a power issue to me but I'm not sure, I am using just a standard iphone plug with a standard micro USB cable, could this be the problem?

@MisterP85 definitely. You need a good quality power supply.

Retropie in a NES - Pi 3 with Mausberry circuit shutdown switch wired to buttons and 8bitdo NesPro30 controller
Retropie in a Saturn Controller - Pi Zero, GPIO controls using DB9 driver
        Retropie in a PSX - Pi3

          Thanks for the reply!

I did think it could be this but being a newbie I was not to sure.
I have now ordered a genuine Raspberry Pi Power supply and I'll keep you posted.

            Hey all
I am kinda answering my own question here but the official Raspberry Pi power cable works a treat so no more cutting off while using Kodi.

            Cheers
