Just thought I would bump this up instead of starting a new subject... I installed RetroPie 4.1 earlier this week and just got around to Scraping everything . Steven Selph scraper seems to install fine (unlike the last error posted above), but whenever I go to scrape everything I get lines like this constantly:

      2016/11/13 21:59:51 INFO: Checking for new hash.csv.
got 429 Too Many Requests response
      2016/11/13 21:59:52 INFO: Checking for new hash.csv.
got 429 Too Many Requests response
      2016/11/13 21:59:53 INFO: Checking for new hash.csv.
got 429 Too Many Requests response

...and nothing gets scraped. Any advice?

I'm also trying the built-in scraper (accessed through hitting "Start" in EmulationStation, and going to "Scraper"), but it's like pulling teeth....literally 20 second wait (yes, I counted) per EVERY single game (of my 400+ games) for it to come up with a choice for me to accept (or search for others).

@Dochartaigh you should start a new thread for a new issue

Guess there is a server issue / limit where the hashes are hosted. Try later.

Thanks Buzz, will do next time (I usually try to group together similar topics and not start a new topic)

Yeah i did manage to get my SNES/SEGA/N64/NES games scraped, Gameboy ones and Mame ones havent worked yet though. all i did was mash it over and over , and eventually it would work for one system, but most of the time i get the 429 thing...

I was able to scrape some roms last weekend but suddenly started getting this error messages.

Tried to scrape one system at a time, all systems at once, use de ES default scraper and nothing worked.

I suspected that there was something wrong with my current files since I used to interrupt the scraper very often (Ctrl + c). Deleted every single "gamelist" file and still no response.

mame won't work as the database the scraper uses is offline.

thegamesdb.net has also had problems recently.
