I am having trouble trying to get retropie to locate any roms in either n64 or megadrive folders. I am running the latest version of retropie 4.1 and have it running fine as any nes snes or mame roms that i put into their folders show up on emulation station and i can play them no problem. There is no sign of either the n64 or megadrive on emualtion station when i scroll through the rest of the emuIators even though both have a few roms in them folders. I am a total noob at this so any help will be greatly appreciated .

          sorry.
I am running on a pi3 with the image from retropie. I am using arcade controls, stick with 6 buttons and an ipac. i got it this far following a retropie basic setup on youtube. I dont get any error messages as there is nothing in emulation station for either the n64 or megadrive for me to run.

try reading it again. (Tell me where you put your roms - what rom filenames are you trying to launch etc). Did you read the n64 and megadrive sections on the wiki ?

i am putting the roms in the n64/megadrive folder on the usb drive the same way i put the nes and snes roms in their folders. Do the roms have to be unzipped for n64 as i have them zipped as on the wiki a zip file is not in the accepted file extensions. Zip files are accepted for the megadrive. I have read both of the wiki and thats the only obvious thing i can spot.

If zip is not listed then it's not supported - they need to be unzipped.

Please activate the runcommand menu (https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/runcommand) when launching the megadrive game, and launch it in verbose mode. After it returns to the Emulation Station interface, SSH in (https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/ssh) and post the output of cat /dev/shm/runcommand.log

please format the log output in a code block on the forum (put three backticks ``` above and below the text )

I have got them showing up in emulation station by unzipping them. Knew it would be something simple. Thanks for the help.
