RetroPie with Official Raspberry Pi 7" Touchscreen -- Support?
-
Hello,
I am in the process of building my first RetroPi build. I have purchased and attached an official Raspberry Pi 7" touchscreen to the Raspberry Pi 2 that I have . . . the touch features do not seem to work, however. There is never a configuration for it and even going through and setting things up via the terminal have not remedied the issues.
Has anyone here either successfully got the touchscreen features working or know how to get it working with RetroPie? Many thanks in advance.

The touchscreen won't work with retropie which is designed for joystick/keyboard control unless someone creates a driver that simulates a joypad.
If it can work as a mouse out of the box, it could be used for anything that has mouse support such as scummvm. I don't have the hardware though so can't test.

I would also like to use the Official Raspberry Pi Touchscreen and at least be able to use the menus through slide and tap options.. but we might be a far shot from that for now.. in the meantime is there a way to switch the outputs?
I have a Raspberry Pi 3 and an Official Raspberry Pi 7" LCD Screen running Retropie 4.1.3 updated over time..
Everything boots up and runs on the LCD no problem, but I would like the HDMI to have priority over the LCD when a HDMI cable is plugged in.EX:
No HDMI = Only LCD Screen
HDMI Plugged in = HDMI Screen and no LCD Screen -
