Is the Xbox One controller + Win10 Wireless adapter compatible with Retropie?

Unfortunately, my Razer Onza controller's USB cable plug has been severely damaged so I'm thinking about buying a XONE Wireless controller for PC gaming, but I'd like to buy a controller that I could use with a RetroPie station - which I'm planning to assemble after xmas (Damn you Onza!)
I'd like to know if the current RetroPie version supports the Microsoft Wireless Adapter for Win10, or if something is being developed at all.
Please note that this post is about the Win10 Wireless Adapter which should support the Xbox One controller.
