Do i need Cooling?
-
Hey all,
I got my first pi3 today and a snes gamepad loving it so far....
My question is tho i have no cooling on it the starter kit didnt give me any i was wondering do i really need cooling tho?
All i will use it for is NES,SNES,GBA,Sega thats it...
It shouldnt stress it that much for it to overheat?
Thanks guys. -
You should be fine given the emulators you plan on running. If you ever notice a yellow/orange icon or little thermometer icon appearing in the top right of your screen, that's the thermal warning, indicating that your Pi is overheating. If it were to remain a constant, you would then want to consider heatsinks or an open air case.

Alright nice yeah i figured because i seen a video of a guy who overclocked it and he stressed all the cpu cores and it reached 80 and stays around 77-79.
So i figured running stock speed and playing just snes which prob only use 1 core itll be much lower than that and acceptable...
I will look into a case with fan down the road but for now it should do.
Maybe i should leave the case open to help it a bit..Im having another problem tho idk how to turn the bluetooth on to get my 8bitdo bluetooth controller working >< lol sigh
Is it complicated do you know by any chance? -

I'm afraid I don't have much experience with Bluetooth issues. To get the best help you should open up a new thread in the 'Help and Support' section.
