How do I get 8bitdo pad working with Bluetooth?

Hmm Im having an issue i bought my first pi3 and a 8bitdo sfc30 gamepad its wireless via bluetooth but i have no idea how to turn the bluetooth on so i can get it to work....help???? :(
Im using the latest retropie version if thats matters? -
