Input lag on new build, any help?
-
Hello,
i get mixed results when searching for input lag issues on the retropiesystem with RPI3
i bought a system with 2 nes controllers and also tested with keyboard and additional PS3 copy controller for PC
All input devices give me a slight inputlag when pressing a buttonit really affects the gaming experiance and i checked some settings but untill now i did not find what to do after googling for a long time about the issue.
anyone has another idea what to do?
used a LG 42inch LED TV at my parents home

How to replicate the problem: Games in SNES and SEGA Genisis have an imput lag of a few ms ( cannot measure exact amount )
but pressing button to jump, the character response when button is released ( if you just tap it )
Keyboard gives exact same lagNot important i guess...

@HansP Which emulators you're using is pretty important information mate. You can find out which by pressing a button as a game is loading to get into the runcommand menu where the default emulator you're using for each system should be listed. There have been a few forum posts about input lag already in snes emulation so it'd be best to search the forums as well to see if anything has already been covered there. I've not experienced any myself but I'm sure with some extra info the forum members may have some help for you.
