Does RetroPie 3.7 support X-arcade stick?

Hello,
I"m new to the Raspberry Pi / RetroPi community. I'm considering going through the process of building a RetroPie unit. I have an X-arcade Dual Joystick, from what I have read online RetroPie 3.6 had issues recognizing the X-arcade Dual stick as two separate joysticks. I was wondering if those issues have been resolved in 3.7. If not can you point me to a good setup tutorial?
