retropie-4.1-rpi2_rpi3.img should be the right one for RPi2 and 3 correct, thats the one im using. and the only one i have.

the md5 checker matched up, so i know teh file is legit, i have used 2 different sd cards and got the same results.

the same sd card(s) that drop to command line in pi2b 1.2 will boot to emulationstation in my pi2b1.1 pie, and my pi3.

@unitypunk Yes I get that, but not this:
the same sd card(s) that drop to command line in pi2b 1.2 will boot to emulationstation in my pi2b1.1 pie, and my pi3.

@rbaker if i put the same sd card into a Pi3 or a Pi2b 1.1 it boots to emulation station.

@unitypunk If this card works on other Pis then you have either a broken Pi or not the Pi you think you have. So if you see one raspberry, you have the wrong image.

@unitypunk It says on it, Model B+ meaning Pi 1. Use the other image from the website for 0/1.

@rbaker The 2014 stamped on it also shows it can't be a 2 or 3.
