XBOX 360 Wireless Controller
-
Hi everyone!
I'm going mad because of my controller won't working. Sorry about my english. Retropie 4.1 on the first boot recognize 4 gamepads (because of wireless reciever connected), but it don't recognize the controller. It just don't send any signal on the welcome screen (when it asks to hold any button on your device to configure it). I've tried all tutorials that i've found on the net, but none of them are working for me. I've reinstalled the OS a lot of times, and sometimes it works, but most of times it don't. What's the problem? Can anyone help me?
PS: Happy New Year!!!! -
@yari you need to pair the controller to the receiver with the tiny button at the top.

i've done it, and it's the tutorial that i've followed, but no luck :( can it be a problem with hardware? because i worked before
-
@yari you didn't specify the hardware of brand you are using so hard to know.
-
the controller is for sure original, the reciever i don't remember where i have got it (there is written only: XBOX 360 PC Wireless Gaming Reciever)
-
@yari does it work on your PC? Would be good to eliminate all other issues before buying more hardware
-
@herb_fargus yes, it worked for 5-6 years on different pc's. and it worked on retrropie, but sometimes
-
@yari could be an insufficient power supply
-
@herb_fargus doubt that, because there where connected more devices to my pi, and it was functional. is there some kind of test that i can run? or a file that i can demonstrate you for more detailed info?

@yari the output of
lsusb
on mine isBus 001 Device 004: ID 045e:0291 Microsoft Corp. Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows
I'm not really sure how to troubleshoot proprietary wireless connections though
