Running ROMS over HTTP share?
-
I was very intrigued by the section on 'Running ROMs from a Network Share'. I would very much like to adapt this so that i could place all of my ROMs on the web rather than my local network. This means I can access my games at friends houses. Anyone know if this is possible? Perhaps using WebDAV and a static IP?

Curlftpfs can Mount FTP shares to Unix systems. Not the same AS http but uses also TCP 😀

If you can mount it via /etc/fstab as a folder in linux (which it looks like you can) then it would theoretically work.

I think you are talkimg about webdav. Webdav should also work. Imho the smoothest way is to use a cloud service and synchronise Pie+Cloud. Then you still have a local FS (fast) paired with a server option (relieable and secure)
