Been trying to get this command to work.
      /. emulationstation/game lists/nes/game list.xml
Because I wanted to delete some games I scrapped.
But it keep saying permission deined. I tried sudo, I've tried sudo su but when I try those it says file or directory not found, what to do?

          First step is here: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

          Second step:
          sudo nano /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/gamelists/nes/gamelist.xml

@maddyfresh1 what you've asked is basic and covered in the wiki. If you read that first post that was linked, it says to read the wiki first. You agreed to these rules when signing up to the forum.
