I am having an issue with some games being able to read and use save files that were created within the game. Legend of Dragoon is one of these games. The game saves as it should and it creates the correct format file for the save. The problemost is that once it is saved and I go in to load from the save, it does not see or read the saved game and says all of the save game slots are empty. (This is big because it is required to be able to change disks and load games on disks 2-4. Can someone tell me what I need to do to fix it. I assume the save file does not have permissions to be read but I am not sure on how to go about changing it. Any help would be appriciated.

I apologize. I am using a raspberry pi 3 with the newest version of retropie (don't remember the exact version).

@ivarwa I can try a different bios. Is there anyway to tell if it is the right one other than trial and error?

Same game, same Problem ... I've also got the newest version of RP on my Raspi3 ... I play the german version of the game TLOD but the ingame saves won't be regonized in the load option or while I try to save again. Anyone got a solution?

                    Since nobody posted a solution.
You need to download a BIOS file for your Pie and place it in here "/home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS" so that you can read the savefile.
You can find informations for a suitable BIOS here http://www.psxdev.net/
