        @iamthebeast87 Well I'm jus glad these guys are willing to help. I am super new to Retropie let alone Raspberry Pi and all the above. I learn quickly but end up sounding like an idiot while trying to solve stupid problems.

              @BuZz is a great guy!

              And I apologize for also thinking you were still in lr-glupen. I tend to mix up which version is the lr- one (glupen or mupen). The non-libretto emulators can be a pain to get controllers set up on, so I usually avoid them anymore unless I have a specific ROM I know needs to non "lr-" version (and I'm pretty sure that's pretty much a thing of the past now).

                @mrbwa1 OK dumb question #12. So with an N64 controller, there is no Select Button and no X button to do Select-X. When using lr-glupen, I can't even use my SNES controller to Select-Start to quit nor use Select-X to pull up that menu either. I have gone through the configuration of each controller to make sure everything is right but I'm still stumped. I'm guessing there is an easy solution and I thank you guys again for helping hits noob out.

                  @enano2054 You would have to get into RGUI and get into the main settings for input to set up the hot keys. I don't have an N64 style controller for the RPi, however at one point, I had a controller the start+select combo didn't work for player 1, but I could plug in a generic SNES USB controller and use that for start+select even thought it was player 2.

                  Both of those could be options for you. Mapping to an N64 controller could be hard to find a combo that doesn't get used in some game though.

                    @mrbwa1 Darn so it looks like that's where I'm stuck now. For some reason lr-glupen64 doesn't recognize my SNES controller

                      OK so I went to /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads and checked each of my controllers and they are mapped fine there. But the roms play as if they are mapped differently. Where do I go to check their configuration for when they're in roms.

                        @enano2054 I'm not in front of my RPi at the moment, but I think there may be core-specific configs as well. I just can't remember the path off the top of my head.

                        I had a similar problem at one point with N64 emulators and ended up deleting my gamepad configs and rebooting, then re-configuring the pads via the Emulationstation config. That ended up fixing the problem a lot quicker thank poking around at various configs. If you only have 1 or 2 controllers, it might be a quick thing to try (you can always rename your current config by adding.bak to the end of the file name and restore it if there are issues).

                          @mrbwa1 OK I'll give that a try. Thanks again

                            @mrbwa1 I ended up starting from scratch and reinstalling retropie and all of my roms. Sadly, I'm still running into the same issue. The controller somewhat works with mupen, but the sensitivity is off, or retroarch doesn't recognize the configurations for my snes controller so I can't access RGUI.

                              I solved this problem by deleted some things on my SD card to free up 1 GB of space. I was experiencing this problem when i had only 256 MB free.
