Hi everyone. I'm new to the raspberry pi so please go easy :-)

I was wondering if there was a way to put the Retropie image on a USB stick and boot from that instead of a SD card. I know the SD card will still need to be in the pi to even run but I have more high capacity stick than SD cards.

@Vince.Hopkins Please have a look here new usb-drive boot method in latest fw. Keep in mind that this is highly experimental and in beta.

No official support from RetroPie and if you find bugs report them to the forums/github for Raspberry pi.

But i and probably others would like to hear your results if you get it to work.

Maybe someday this will be officially supported.

Thanks for the reply. I'll hold out for final release as I don't want to brick anything. SD are not cheap for a good high capacity one and 1 wrong move can easily kill them.
