    Hi i have install the retropie on Linux mint 18 but the probleme is i dont know how to start retropi i dont see the program on the menu section i dont know wath i did wrong i found the installation guide from github i fallow the instruction and does not look to be working im going to buy the rasberry pi on march and i wanted to try it on linux first thanks if any one can help me ...

        @zod041 Try this https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/RetroPie-Ubuntu-16.04-LTS-x86-Flavor It looks like it should work on Mint too as it is an Ubuntu / Debian fork.

          @AlexMurphy Linux mint 18 is much newer so there may be dependencies not met, etc. I know it for sure works on Ubuntu 16.04

            Hi i have try that allready i can get to the setup part i have do the installation but
            when i do ctrl , alt + t and enter Emulationstation it says File not found... when i did the installation i have see some warning dont know if it because of that ?....

                ok on my desktop computer i have done a menu i can choose linux mint , or windows xp or windows 7 ... i dont want to reinstall it so i have my old portable that i can install ubuntu on it but i wish that will be working on linux mint i like it better then ubuntu.... i will try it soon !! i'll let you know....

                    @zod041 just launch emulationstation from a terminal or type rpie on the mintMenu.
