I compile successfully Hurrican with these commands:
      sudo apt-get install subversion libsdl-image1.2-dev libmodplug-dev
      svn checkout svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/hurrican/code/trunk hurrican-code
      cd hurrican-code/Hurrican/src/
      make

      For run the game:
      cd hurrican-code/Hurrican
      ./hurricanlinux

It could be included in Retropie, if we get a decent speed runs with another compilation option.

@cpcbegin are you building on a linux machine or a raspberry pi? cause it will build on the pi but the pi doesnt have opengl so it wont work.

If you read the documentation it will answer 99% of your questions: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/

Also if you want a solution to your problems read this first: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

A much more faster and ready to use without X compiled by another user.
Checked OK on a raspberry pi 2 without overclock. Amazing!

Cpcbegin can you share the file on other site? Because Upload.net give me a boring "The free download is currently not available - Please try again later!" :/

@Noldor I download from upload.net without any problem. Anyway, try this provisional link on box.com.

I'll have a version that works without X committed to my repo sometime soon.

                  https://github.com/zerojay/RetroPie-Extra/blob/master/scriptmodules/ports/hurrican.sh

Committed to my repo. Only runs at 640x480 (as the programmer desires so deeply for whatever reason). Minor off-by-one graphics issues, nothing I can do anything about to my knowledge.

Thank you guys so much, just updated your Retropie-extra with it and it works perfect on 640x480. would be cool to have bigger resolution but i am happy with it, never heard of this game until now and really enjoy it, cant wait to see what else you add, keep up the good work

This is a superb tribute to Turrican, initially released 10 years ago or so if I remember well :-)
It should clearly be part of the official RetroPie in the future !

The version in my box.com runs in fullscreen mode and may run without X.
I'd like to know how this user do this for some other games (LeoCAD, Vorton, Capitan Sevilla ¿STK?, etc...)

The one in my repo is also fullscreen and without X.

Superb !! (installed it from RetroPie-extras)
BTW, where should I specify the resolution it should run in so that it's taken into account by ES ?
