Select-Start not working
-
i'm pretty new to this so bear with me. i'm running latest version of Retropie on a Pi3. my daughter got a a hold of one of the controllers while we were out of the room and something got changed. from what i can tell using a buffalo SNES controller, i had the mappings setup right, and even verified by going into the retroarch.cfg file. after, we noticed that Select+Start no longer exits the game like it used to. after reading more i found that none o the "hotkeys" are working. i.e. reset, load, save, etc.
Does anyone have an idea as to what would have changed and how to fix it. I've been searching for a few days now, and have nothing, aside from a better understanding of how this system works, but nothing real helpful for the current problem.
At this point I've uninstalled retropie, and am currently re-installing it. i'm not sure what effect that'll have and half expect to have to reload my SD card from image as that's how I initially set it up.
Thanks in advance for any advice or help offered.

I can't say for sure what your daughter changed, but the hotkeys are defined in the retroarch.cfg file. Hotkeys will only work in libretto emulators (that's an important note) because they receive the inputs from retropad. If the emulator is not a libretto core, then the inputs all have to be mapped manually.
If you're doing a full reinstall, I feel confident that your problem will be corrected.

Here is the documentation for the retroarch.cfg files:
