noob question . x86 and pi

I'm sure it's something simple I'm overlooking but I need to understand how to make the emulators show up consistently . When i populate the rom folders only half of the emulators show up , all the common show (playstation, snes , megadrive, sega cd , gameboys) I have pc-engine but no TG16 , Pspmini's doesn't show , PSP , Atari 5200 and so on . Please what am I overlooking ?The roms are correct format and I'm probally missing a config step but I just don't know what .
I have both setups , Pi and PC and both have issue so I know its me :)Thanks

@satanzklown not all emulators are installed from the default image. Please go into RetroPie setup and add the ones required, then they'll show in ES after a restart.

@markyh444, would that be the "manage packages" or "configuration / tools"?

@satanzklown it's all detailed here in the wiki dude https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/#installing-additional-emulators
