Final Burn Alpha: Microsoft X-Box 360 Pad (1118/654) not configured
-
Hello,
I have wired Xbox 360 controller and all the emulators work fine but "Final Burn Alpha" and maybe some of the "MAME Emulators".
When starting a ROM it will flash yellow with "Microsoft X-Box 360 Pad (1118/654) not configured".
I tried Googling this exact phrase or around these words with no avail.
I've also read here: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Xbox-360-Controller.
I tried changing "udev" to "sld" and back again
I tried using "Xpad" and "Xboxdrv" drivers
I tried unplugging and plugging in back again again
I tried a different controllerOn the wiki it has a section about "Xbox 360 Controller button configuration for retroarch and final burn alpha" but perhaps I don't understand it.
Should I ensure these these config files have the same settings as the wiki?
/home/pi/RetroPie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg
/home/pi/RetroPie/emulators/pifba/fba2x.cfg (or /opt/retropie/emulators/pifba/fba2x.cfg in some versions)Any suggestions or anything I should test I would appreciate it.

I'm just curious but do you have a generic non-Microsoft branded Xbox 360 controller? I haven't heard of any Xbox generics causing problems but I've heard that generic PS3 controllers can have issues in RetroPie/Linux.

/home/pi/RetroPie/emulators/pifba/fba2x.cfg (or /opt/retropie/emulators/pifba/fba2x.cfg in some versions)You are using the lr-fbalpha (or lr-fbalpha2012) emulator(s)? I would recommend use lr-fbalpha instead of PiFBA just because it is so much easier to configure. Maybe after you feel more comfortable with RetroPie then you can use PiFBA if you want but lr-fbalpha works fine for me ;-)
note
PiFBA uses /opt/retropie/emulators/pifba/fba2x.cfg -
Sorry for wasting everyone's time.
FYI I simply updated all the packages and it works.
