You were unbanned - but if your plan is to start going on again, I am happy to reinstate it. I have removed the ip ban.

You can control notifications from the watching/not watching button and via the user control panel. You should also check if you have subscribed to a category - you can control that on each category page - no-one is subscribed by default, so perhaps you switch it on.

@Billy-Lee Well, I did but perhaps something was cached. I resaved and restarted so you might have more luck now.

further more me being called a monster

My comment was only meant to play against one's expectation of all the possible motivations a chicken would have for crossing a road.

I can't see anything specifically saying 'control panel', but just settings. Within there the boxes under the Watch category were un-ticked as postured. I've changed homepage setting to None and within browsing Settings un-ticked the Enable In-Topic Searching. Not sure what else to do, but will see if I continue getting notifications.

I am happy to try and help you Billy, i am no expert....

You do really need to re flash the stock image of retropie so we are on a level playing field.

You will need to copy off all your roms onto a hard drive

Go to the retropie home page and download the latest image

Download a program called win32diskimager and reflash the image onto your card (need a pc with a card reader)

This video will explain how to do it

Then copy your roms back on, it's pretty easy

                        Thanks!

Looks like I'll have to purchase an adapter for the Lenovo laptop to use the 32gd sd card I have in the back of the raspberry pi. Can't believe the laptop didn't come with one...! Found one on eBay though so as soon as it arrives I'll give it a go and let you know how I've got on. Cheers ;)

Copied all of the roms onto the hard drive and downloaded the win32diskimager in the mean time.

Just wanted to say, I am in the same problem as the op, I bought a unit off eBay, I knew all the Roms where illegal, but I honestly had no idea so many people put in so much work for something that is free but I paid for, as far as the Roms went I knew and I can't say I would have deleted them,

But after reading this post I have open a disput with PayPal since I bought off eBay, and since have been instructed to turn over the sd card to the state police for investigation,

After spending some time reading about this forum, to not get into the same situation where can I buy a pi and what do I need to get set up, I do not have a pi or anything at this point as I was instructed by PayPal disputes to return it to sender and they refunded the 175 I paid,

I under stand how to download as image and set up now as I did it on my Linux pc a little while ago, but I don't want to get into the same trouble byong the pi hardware again, I've found listings on eBay and Amazon ranging from 30 to 100 for kits, and others up to 250, not sure what to get, or what is being sold legally? If someone could help with links to a legal kit of hard ware I'm sure I'll can get it set up,

i have searched and red a lot of different threads now but there's just so much information and talk of eBay and Amazon sellers selling illegal, the main reason I bought this one was everything was included the power hdmi and 4 controllers were to be all set up, but I ran into problems and seen this post, and started figuring out I got screwed, any help would be deeply appreciated

I think the issue is that the image came pre supplied and was used as an incentive to buy the product. Its not illegal to buy the compontents and flash the image yourself.

May be someone else here can point out a seller that sells kits with the components that you need without crossing the line.

That was the same issue i had, i live in very remote town in aistralia with an average post system at best. If i ordered everything i wanted seperatley there was a fair chance that something didnt turn up. I didnt want to take that chance

@kS90 buzz linked to the white listed sellers, if you have recieved you full refund you could go this way.

Taken fom the bottom on buzz link..
