I have no affiliation to this site nor do I want this to sound like an advertisement.

This website gives away a free eBook just about every day and today's free eBook is GitHub Essentials
    https://www.packtpub.com/packt/offers/free-learning

This book will be free for the next 9 1/2 hours. All you need is a free account at this website to redeem. Most of the daily free eBooks are geared towards programming.

Just 5 hours left on this ;-)

I missed the 2 free Linux Shell Scripting books because they offered them over the weekend and I forget to check this site over the weekend :-(

Thanks for this. I finally created an account today to download the book. I'll have to pick up the Git one when it comes around again.

@backstander Hah, I got it with 2 minutes to spare (it's 10am March 23rd here). It hasn't yet told me what today's free book is.

Today's new books is "Mastering Responsive Web Design". It looks interesting, I might be able to get some tips from it. It's 334 pages long. Unfortunately for me it seems to focus mainly on SASS, and I'm a LESS man, but they have quite a bit of overlap. (I've used both LESS and SASS, and found I prefer LESS.)

@mattrixk the idea of writing a book to learn about a computer makes me laugh. At least it's an ebook I suppose.

This idea isn't as bad as having a VHS tape that shows you how to install/setup your VHS player ;-)

I don't know if everyone already noticed this but today's free eBook is "Raspberry Pi Projects for Kids"
                                  https://www.packtpub.com/packt/offers/free-learning

I just browsed this eBook and noticed chapter 2 shows you how to make an Angry Birds clone using Scratch.

This is odd. 15 hours ago @backstander told us the current free book was "Raspberry Pi Projects for Kids". When I got it 7 hours ago, it said there was 40 minutes left. Now, I'm looking to see what the new book is, and it says it's still "Raspberry Pi Projects for Kids" and that it has 18 hours left. Something seems dodgy.

I've seem some odd counter issues on this site as well. I've also seen on the free eBook history list below where it will show the wrong book for yesterday's free book but then the next day that book will be the current free eBook lol.

Today's eBook is "Learning Java Functional Programming". Not sure if there's any Raspberry Pi relevant information in this book but you can develop Java programs on it.
