I have some games was scraped with same name and I want to change it.

      so I tried edit
      /home/pi/.emulationstation/gamelists/arcade/gamelist.xml
      or
      /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/gamelists/arcade/gamelist.xml

But after save and reboot, gamelist.xml was auotmatically restore back by itself.

The easiest way is to simply use the "edit this game's meta data" option by pressing the select button in Emulation Station while the game is highlighted. The very first input option will be to change the list name. Just make sure you have the "save meta data on exit" option selected in Emulation Station's "Other Settings" menu, or else it will revert after a reboot.

As the great Gordon Shumway would say, "No problem!"
