      Hi all,

I'm having a weird issue with Mega CD emulation. I'm using a Pi 3 with the most recent retro pie build and a SanDisk Ultra 64 gig card. I'm running Nes/Snes/Megadrive/PC Engine/Neo Geo and arcade perfectly, but am experiencing freezes for several seconds in games on Mega CD with both Genesis-Plus-GX and lr Picodrive. I haven't altered any settings and am wondering if it's because this card is too slow for CD games? I'm a bit stuck as the few games I have on mega CD launch and play fine other than these pauses. I've not found anyone else with this issue through searching so am a bit stuck. Any advice would be welcome, as Mega CD and ultimately PC Engine CD emulation was one of my main goals with this build.

      Many thanks in advance:)

        Apologies, full disclosure:

Pi Model or other hardware: Raspberry Pi 3 model B
Power Supply used: NorthPada 5V 2.5A Raspberry Pi 3 Power Supply
        RetroPie Version: 4.1
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website

I've used a Super Famicom controller through a USB adaptor, a wired PS3 controller and Hori RAP fightstick. Zero issues otherwise.

After further reading I'm almost definite that it's down to the Sandisk Ultra card not being fast enough for cd games. I only have 50 roms in each format at the moment and three in mega cd , so it's not a space issue.

Would a SanDisk Extreme SD card be up to the job, or are there other SD cards anyone would recommend?

          Thanks.
