Hi @Floob, figured you'd be able to answer this pretty easily , or plenty of other punters out there.

First of all nice work on the ready-to-rock image! Just trying to get the config going myself now but am having some issues with the Excecutable and Command Argument. Im running my arcade games in mame4all so I'm falling down a little on the bog standard copy you type thing. Im also using the Adafruit control panel config so not sure where that leaves Retroarch...?

My excecutable is currently as follows:
      /opt/retropie/emulators/mame4all/mame... is this right?
and my command argument (having copied yours somewhate, but im sure its wrong):
      -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/mame4all/mame --config/opt/retropie/configs/mame4all/mame.cfg"[romfilename]"

I ran the "Generate Collection/Rom List" and the 2270 roms all showed up, but when i go to fire one up it gives me a quick flash of the command line and back to the Attract Mode front end.

Any help would be brilliant, and if you need any other info give me a shout.

      Thanks peoples.

Not Floob but I have had my own compiled image running Mame4all before his were out. This should work for you as long as your running on the non X version of Attract Mode.

        executable /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh
        args 0 SYS mame-mame4all "[romfilename]"
        rompath /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-mame4all

@TheStrayMongrel If you are using a pre-built image, which version is it?

Its also important to confirm exactly which arcade emulator you want to run - is it definitely mame4all ?

If so, the config Finhead posted should work if you are using image 0.3 or higher.

Thanks @Finhead, tried that using your exact syntax. It launches to the "running SYS, press a button to configure" then it exits back to the Attract front end.

I'm using "floob-retropie-attractmode-v03-02-MAY-2016" @Floob and definitely mame4all. Seems to be working the best for me through Emulation station.

@TheStrayMongrel Can you post the emulator config file on pastebin?
              Should be in home/pi/.attract/emulators/

the MAME 2003.cfg isnt that big so thought I'd chuck it in too.

Looks like you need a space, so like this, and take the double args out, so this line for the arguments

                  0 _SYS_ mame-mame4all "[romfilename]"

Fantastic, thanks @Floob tried what you wrote in that first post after mine and it still wasnt working but then looking at your pastebin i see that i didnt put in the two underscores before and after the SYS. Working now. Sweet, thanks.

While I've got you anther issue ive got is that my exit game is also set to exit Attract Mode, and prompts me to do so when exiting out of a game. I'll have a look in the controls to see if i can un-set this for Attract.

                      Thanks again to all.

TAB - Controls - Exit (Confirm) Then remove the Escape key and add whichever key you would like.

Champion @Finhead, all sorted. All working well, now to start populating the interface with images and the link.

                          Thanks :)

I have a Attract Mode issue as well.
When using a wireless ps3 controller in the menu I experience a lot of lag. Both on video snaps and when scrolling through my games. When I enter a game everything works just fine though.
Any thoughts on how to fix this is highly appreciated.

@Brigane What size are the snaps. Standard Qulality at about 1MB should work fine.

Some layouts do feel sluggish when scrolling - try some others to see if it makes a difference. See my videos for examples.

@Floob The videosnaps are as they should be aprox. (1MB) and everything is just fine when I turn the ps3 controller off. I have no issues when scrolling through the menu with my wireless keyboard.
