Super famicom help
-
Ran into an issue tonight. Recently I created a folder for super famicom on retropie.. to separate us and Japanese games. I edited the es.systems.cfg created the rom folder and everything worked great all the games showed up in the right place. When I try to play them however it loads back to game selection page. So I punched "a" to config "SFC" but it appears that it doesn't have an emulator that is recognizing it. Shouldn't a snes emulator pick it up?? What may need to be done??
-
@bluecaka69 in the es_systems.cfg you need to keep snes as the SYS.
-
@edmaul69 you mean snes right?? I did leave the system as snes as the super famicom is same as snes
-
@bluecaka69 i fixed the typo. You were too fast reading. Can you post what you put in es_systems.cfg?
-
<system>
<name>sfc</name>
<fullname>Super Famicom</fullname>
<path>~/RetroPie/roms/sfc</path>
<extension>.bin .smc .sfc .fig .swc .mgd .zip .BIN .SMC .SFC .FIG .SWC .MGD .ZIP</extension>
<command>/opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh 0 SYS snes %ROM%</command>
<platform>snes</platform>
<theme>sfc</theme>
</system> -
i have went though everything i can think of and nothing,, it appears the emulator don't recognize something but i can't figure out what it may be
-
@bluecaka69 do you have both snes and sfc showing up in emulationstation? Not sure why it doesnt work as your config is correct. Is your snes games working?
-
@edmaul69 yes they both show up SNES will play but SFC will not
-
@bluecaka69 why did you remove the underscores around SYS which should be
_SYS_
Edit: nm i see that the forum is doing it
-
Actually the _ were missing, it wasn't just the forum YAHOO!!! it is now working properly thanks for your keen eye, I looked over it several times but didn't notice..
-
@bluecaka69 glad you got it working. 👍🏻
