      Hi all,

Just quick question, is it possible to get scanlines in non-libretro emulators like CoolCV, Atari800 etc.? I'm assuming now but just thought I would double check. Tried various command line stuff with Atari800 but no luck unfortunately.

      Thanks,

@Hubz nothing on those two. There are several emulators that arent libretro that do though.

@Hubz You might look into using AdvanceMAME/MESS. The basic video configuration has some effects that are OK and scanlines at different magnifications is one of them. I generally prefer the RGB Triad settings, but it is a possibility for you. Of course, that would mean taking the good with the bad I guess, as I don't know how well MESS from AdvanceMAME/MESS 3.x runs these systems.

@caver01 advmess is good. But man it is a lot of work learning how to get it working right. I will gladly give my input to anyone who wants to get it running.

@edmaul69 I want to get it running one of these days. I'm hoping we can eventually get it integrated in the setup script as I believe it's integrated already with 3.0, just needs proper configs

@herb_fargus the one i have was modified by a friend of mine. He added select (the one that resets game but not configuration you already setup. Ie: difficulty, players) and pause for me when i was using it on the atari 7800. Not sure why they werent there in the first place.

@edmaul69 I used t run SDL MESS years ago, so I have set it up before, just not the AdvanceMESS version. I am looking forward to trying it.
