Why can't anyone create a nes tv console that boots up instantly and ready to play? Of course with your "legal" roms. Is it too complicated? Please see the 10 second video:

@hakan1708 a prebuild system is not the goal of this project. Of course the main glaring issue is the legal issue of ROMs.

The other is the community does all sorts of tinkering from arcade to RPI, to who knows what else- why would we inhibit their development by boxing them into one device? We aren't apple. We let people have choices and if they want to make their own TV NES console they have every possiblity with the software provided.

I see. That'd be nice though if there was a prebuild nes emulator console that would boot super fast with clean interface with no games on it.

I have a dead snes console and the replica usb controllers.
            I'm doing this now.
Moving the /home directory to a usb stick for roms/art/configs and making the SD card OS read only so when my kids just kill the power they won't nuke the card.

it doesn't boot super fast but if you can't wait a few minutes to play a game.......
