hi i need help with the uae4arm amiga emulator.
i use a pi 2 and the bootberry image from retropie 3.7
the problem is that i cant use the savestats. when i click save it brings me back to the game, when i go intu the uae menu again there is no save. it works under uae4all but not under uae4arm. before someone write:"why you dont use uae4ll than" the problem is that i want to play with the pad of the xbox controler not with the analog stick and it dont work under uae4all in uae4all the controlpad always dont work just the analog stick and its ugly to play games with it.

Before anything else, do you play ADF games or WHDload games with UAE4ARM??

There were some changes with UAE4ARM, make sure you run latest one by updating RetroPie. (easy to check with keyboard configuration for Pinball Dreams/Fantasies games - right shift was pushing both right and left flipper.

For the Savestates issue it is due to the incorrect folder permissions are in place by default. You need to log into root and then update the folder permissions on the savestate and screenshot folders to be modifyable by everyone (0777 permissions). The path is: opt/emulators/uae4arm (I think). I do root via from software but I'm sure an experienced person here can direct you on how to do it from the Pi direct.

Here is location of savestate folder, and you're right, it is read only, and read/write for owner only.

            /opt/retropie/emulators/uae4arm

Just cd to above folder and run this command:

            sudo chmod 777 savestates

Thanks for the detail SuperFrog. If you do the same with screenshot folder, it will mean savestate screenshots will also work. 😀
