      Is it possible to add animated GIF support as an alternative for the following:? :-

      logo.png
      menu_background.png
      system_art.png

      as im currently working on a theme with animated backgrounds.

        @Stuart2773 The quick answer is no. Themes only support .png, .jpg and .svg files. See this https://github.com/Aloshi/EmulationStation/issues/436

          themes do support gif files ive tried it but not able to use animated gifs

              i dont plan to use a "static gif" i want to use an "animated gif" i only used a static gif to see if retropie would support the .gif format and it does, but currently there is no animated gif support !!!!!
