Problem with uploading games?
-
I tried to search but could find anything that quite matched what my problem is.
So I downloaded retro got the image put it on an sd card loaded it onto the pi it all worked out. than I got my USB drive and put Mario kart, super smash bros and super Mario bros on it. put it in my raspberry for about 20 minutes when I thought the lights showed it was done uploading. but the games aren't there...and I thought retro came pre loaded with a few games? mine has none. did I do something wrong?
Thanks.

@dualshock0101 I get this error as well when I power up the pi with a usb stick in it..
failed to start usbmount@dev-sda.service

@dualshock0101 It sounds to me like you didn't follow the instructions properly. Read this https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Transferring-Roms then try again and follow all steps as laid out.
Edit: There are no ROMs preloaded on RetroPie. Distribution of copyrighted material without permission is illegal. -
@AlexMurphy thanks for replying...As far as I can tell from the instructions the only thing I may have not done is restart with f4 instead of from the menu but I'm going to try and connect my computer and pi to my home connection and see if I can transfer that way..

@dualshock0101 did you create the
retropie
folder on the USB then insert it into the Pi? This then creates all the needed folders on the USB and it is in these foldets that RetroPie created that you place the ROMs. You also need to ensure you have theusbromservice
turned on. It should be on by default but it is always worth checking. -
@AlexMurphy I did create that folder , and after I created the folder and inserted into pi it came out with all the emulator and Ron folders. But I'm not sure how to check if that other option is switched in or not..
