Change Emulator permission denied
-
I installed arcade games that need different emulators. I launch a game and press a button before it starts to get to the emulator menu. When I try to change the default emulator, it very briefly shows a message "Couldn't open temporary file /opt/retropie/configs/arcade/***** permission denied". I tried to change it in the script but no luck. Anyone know how I can give myself permission to change the emulator?

@KANE81
sudo chown -R pi:pi /opt/retropie/configs
looks like you have been editing / running as root ?

@BuZz Sorry buzz I assume you mean that I posted this request without more detail about my system. I apologize. I should have given more info.
Thank you for the script info I will try it.

@KANE81 its configs. Not config. You tried to set permissions to config which does not exist.

I entered configs. It worked. But now what? It left a blank line? I thought it would bring up a list of owner permission to edit? Im lost? can anyone walk me through this?
