      Hello,
      I found this recently, and used it to change all the system launch screens in Emulationstation, but I can't seem to get it to work for Kodi.

      https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/4611/runcommand-system-splashscreens

      I have kodi set up in ES as it's own system rather than ports via the method found here: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/KODI

      I've tried placing kodi's launching.png in
      /opt/retropie/configs/kodi
      /opt/retropie/configs/ports/kodi
      /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/kodi

      I'm lost, any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Cheers,
      Jim

        @Yourdrunkendad

        i had the same thing so i went back and changed how Kodi launched. instead of using kodi-standalone

        i put
        #!/bin/bash "/opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh" 0 _PORT_ "kodi" ""

        just like how it launched when it was in the port system.

        now my splash comes up fine

          Thank you very much, I'll have to try this out when I get home.

          Cheers!
