Build my own arcade
-
Hi everyone :D
I'm new here I'm kinda a noob about these things, so please be kind ^^
So here's the thing, the other day a friend gave me the idea to build an Arcade, and I thought it was an amazing idea !
I started to do research and found out than Raspberry pi 3 might be a good solution.
I'd like to buy kits for the joystick and buttons, build the case myself in wood and buy an old TV or screen.
If you have any advice, for example the measurements, the compatibility (I'd like it to be 2 players) and anything else,
i'd like to hear it :)
Thanks -
Well, if it was me I would figure out what type of arcade I want to build. It's only limited by your imagination. If you look on the forum here you will many examples that might help you decide. They can range from a handheld size to a table top right up to a full size cabinet.
While you're deciding, get a pi and get it going with games. You'll need to learn about that as well. I wouldn't build it into a cabinet straight away without being comfortable with it in the first place.

I'd like to build a cabinet, and I've got all th tools i need to build one, plus I don't have any problem with programming or electronics,
so it should be fine ;)
The thing is which pieces are better for this project ? Especially for the two players joystick, or a few tips.
I think the pi 3 is the best, and i should be able to handle it, i already worked with the first pi before,
but thanks for your advice :) -
You mentioned earlier that you want to build the wood yourself does that include cutting out the wood pieces?
Anyway, if you're interested in already made wood pieces to assemble I can recommend this guy.
